How Does Electron Beam Welding Work?

This process uses a beam of high-velocity electrons to generate concentrated heat to join components. The beam focuses on the metal pieces using magnetic fields for accurate results. The kinetic energy of the electrons transforms into heat when the beam hits the metal surfaces, allowing the materials to melt and fuse.

EB welding occurs in a vacuum environment to prevent oxidation, a lightning effect and beam scattering. This environment ensures joints are strong and reliable.
